Nouvel's big kickoff return sets up game-winning field goal in 17-14 D8 Semi-Final win

Nouvel took advantage of a huge kickoff return by Kenny Kujawa on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half which was returned to the 1-yard line. Nouvel 4 plays later kicked a short field goal and that was the only big play for the rest of the game as Nouvel won 17-14.

Nouvel 2018 QB Tate Hausbeck picked up a fumble and ran in from 6-yards out in the 1st quarter and threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to a wide open Kujawa in the final minute of the 2nd quarter.

The Wykons of West Iron County struggled mightily to move the ball for a good portion of the game and particularly in the 2nd half as they failed to complete several crucial passes.

Nouvel will move on to play the winner of Mendon and Whiteford in the Division 8 state championship.
